Elite Series

INTRODUCTION

Introducing the Elite Series, a top-tier competition for only the best of our best players.

The aim of this competition is to allow for more development players to come through the ranks in a controlled and sustainable manner, while affording them the opportunity to prove their worth and qualify for the Elite Series once a month.

WHO GETS TO PLAY?

The top eight players as at the end of Leg 18 of Super Series 3 automatically qualify for the Elite Series.

WHEN IS IT HELD?

The Elite Series coincides with the Super Series 4 legs. Each player will have two or three matches each night.

WHAT IS THE FORMAT?

Every week a complete tournament is held with only these top-tier players. Ranking points are accrued and the series rankings use a player’s best two scores out of three events.

PROMOTION / RELEGATION

After every three legs, the top two ranked players from the Super Series are promoted to the Elite Series, and the last two from the Elite Series are dropped down to the Super Series in a straight swap. For example, the last-placed player from the Elite Series replaces the top-ranked player from the SS in the same team, and the second-last placed Elite Series player replaces the second-ranked SS player in the same team. In the case of an independent player being promoted, the relegated player replacing them becomes eligible for the SS mini-draft.

HOW MUCH DO I PAY?

Entry into the Elite Series is R150 per person – the same as three legs of Super Series.

HOW ABOUT PRIZES?

Each month’s winner gets R250, and the runner-up R150.

Also, all Elite Series participants over the three-month period automatically qualify for the quarterly Legends Invitational, where the stakes are much higher.
